The veins of this valley coarse with my ancestor’s blood
Long have I resided amongst these hills with the beasts side by side.
These rivers flow alongside my abode and fill my body with pride
I have discerned of every healing power of every shrub, herb and flower bud.
You can not alter my faith for even after force I continue to believe
Attempted to replace my hybrid creatures which personify my origin
But my ethnic blood proliferates descendents with my rare glow of skin
And now our creatures inspire imaginations to conceive
My strength lies within how much I believe.

THE SYSTEM
The rich get richer, the poor get poorer
Maintaining the status quo.
This system is a manifestation of the evil of the world
I retire from battle and surrender into the arms of the lord.
Conflicting interests with poetry and study
Because I'm studying a system i so despise
The essence of life is missing
Rotating without meaning
Where ever the journey of life may lead you,
Never forget where you come from, for its much like loosing the map of ones future.
The path less pursued may be peaceful
But its also lonely in
an ever changing future within the present.
They don't want us to catch up, so they make us watch reruns
Because the latest are too informative.
Why do we rise when a judge enters a court room, is he God?
Politics and Business
Basic Conditions of Employment Acts purpose is to advance economic development.
However there are few of my people in top Management,
Which means its not advancing my people, as we mainly occupy middle management.
Its ironic that this act doesn't cover people working for national intelligence.
Which means they have freedom to do as they please in the name of government. (Rica?)
This act is unstable because it can be changed to suit the employer.
What seems fair to the employee, may be more money to the exploiter.
Parts of this act, working time, ordinary hours , don't apply to senior Management, who are responsible for paying the cent.
One gets paid double if they work on a Sunday
But the employer can make it ordinary for you to work on a Sunday
Then pay you one and a half,
And keep you quite by reducing your hours of work of.
If your absent from work for more than 2 days your not paid.
But you use public health, 'Elokishini' the clinic is always full and you were sick in bed.
You don't have a doctors certificate, you cannot defend
Sorry, you don't get paid month end
This means you cant buy good medicine to get better,
Which in turn means you will get two more warnings and soon be an unemployed worker.
A mother working as a domestic lives where she works,
If her contract is terminated, she becomes both homeless and jobless.
How good are her provisions?
Health counselling for employees is paid by the employer
It is usually shifted to your medical aid however.
Employment Equity
EE is reverse discrimination
But I'm black so i am not complaining
Ill tell who is,
We are making up for past oppression under apartheid legislation
By the time we catch up to those who oppressed us
They will be so 'far behind' us they will need to catch up to us.
Round and round we go, nowhere, you see
None of us will ever be free

But are you really?
How many Caucasians do you still refer to as whites?
How many 'Africans' do you still refer to as blacks?
Has your mother tongue been accepted as a medium, of instruction?
Have they stopped victimising you because of what your fore fathers did to theirs during apartheid legislation?
Have they stopped locking car doors when you pass?
Have they stopped calling you unfairly advantaged for passing in class?
Have you fallen for the belief that all men are born equal?
Have they stopped blaming you for being born in a private hospital?

How often do you see a Caucasian grand mother buying paraffin?
How often do you see an African grand mother indoors, locked in?
Have you ever seen a Caucasian walking freely at night?
How often do you see a police van as an African and not get a 'fright'?

So you think this country is free,
Is it really?
How many countries do we rely on to survive?
How many of our own minerals are helping our own survive?

The Hypocrisy of Dentistry
Dentist recommend brushing for one minute two times a day
That's two minutes a day from Sunday to Sunday.
Making you spend more money on toothpaste
And buying an expensive tooth brush is a waste
Because you will have to replace it within three months time
Three more months, another new toothbrush plus a dental check up.
An effective mouth wash is recommended,
What about the percentage of methyl and alcohol you swallow?
Binary compound of fluorine,
Fluoride is used to brighten the teeth.
How well formulated are the more affordable toothpastes?
The kind that most can afford?
The hypocrisy
Of dentistry.
This isn't who we are, the system has got us changed.

WAR
If we are both fighting one another for this land piece,
Who will peacefully live on it when we are both incapable of breathing?
Is he who violently victors worthy of living?
If war is necessary for a life of peace.
You have destroyed this land with war weaponry.
Failed rehabilitation and re integration into society.
War heroes have lost their humanity,
While war losers have lost life, limb and mobility.
Accuse others of sitting idly and smiling,
While men like them are dying.
Does that mean that they should die along with nations?
While rendering homelands uninhabitable for future generations.
Slaying and slaughtering one another for whom to win?
we both die here, for whom is the glory then?

What have we done to deserve this?
Whom is Karma avenging?
How have we become shadows of our former innocence?
Where along the way have we lost our discipline?
Whom do these people see, me or an imitative reflection?
Have i been conformed to such an extent?
That the true me has no chance of Resurrection?
Have i been corrupted beyond repent?
What I'm wearing covers what is underneath, my skin.

A church founded by Paul (who never met Jesus) taught that he was Divine
The bible was translated many times by mortal, imperfect men
Many men have died and been tortured in the name of 'definition and wording' of the bible.
Political factors determined who wrote 'in' the bible, what we now render undeniable.
Men who wrote the bible, wrote about what they heard happened 50 to 100 years before their time.
Followers then extracted what they thought was relevant in that version to form their own paradigm.
Arius viewed Jesus as separate from God, while Athanasius believed Jesus might be divine in order to be a saviour.
And how was this incredibly important aspect decided, it was voted upon with politics as a disturbing factor.
Has the bible been modified to suit "mankind's" need?
How else can one explain the variety of churches, if the bible has one main infinite message to heed?
The bible undoubtedly has truth, but does it not have distortions bordering on lies?
From Tablets to King James, to the spiced up new testament conspiracists despise.
Is the originally intended meaning still evident?
Some say Mary Magdalene and Jesus were married, but to this, the bible doesn't even hint.

NATURE, LOVE AND THE CREATOR
A quit place with a cool breeze,
Blowing calmly through the trees,
With leaves shattering against one another.
The true essence of the love of nature.
So effortless in its creation,
Technology adopts its form and draws from it - Inspiration.
The tranquility of natures surroundings so mentally therapeutic,
Technology attempts to mimic its geometric
How can such pureness be remastered,
To be philosophically recorded?
In a manner which harnesses our dreams and wishes.
For the wind blows softly when ones heart itches.
Praise be, to he, who makes me see,

A SIMPLE POEM
Its said the truth sets one free
But knowing this is killing me .
If everyone is complaining who is responsible for this situation?
Currencies which are supposed to better lives kill people through corruption.
If you don't eat the Expensive right food, you will get thin
If you eat too much cheap food, you will get fat
Can you not see the oppression which lies within?
This system, concealed beyond sight.
Money is the motivator, and we are the subjects
Ill health and a short life span are the outcome
The fearfull follower who does as he is told
The loud retaliator who is given the hard road.
What does it matter if i succeed
When my fellow man is still in need?

The winds blow with our roots firmly intact,
The sun scorches but the rain soon follows.
The hail attempts to destroy, but the ice will melt to nurture the earth,
The soil erodes, but we cling on to the rocks.
The cold constricts our beauty and prevents our blossoming,
Industry contaminates our nurturing nature.
Mankind displaces our intended splendour,
Tears from the heavens, drench the webs which link us.
We are replaced by shadow versions, who have an artificial aura.
Trials and tribulations intensify our attraction
Our love shines bright, so love hungry predators don't devour us
We proliferate offspring through a sweet act of honey.
An eternal flower

AS THE SUN SETS
The sun is setting, quickly, what have i done?
The sun submerges into the sea, quickly, what can i do?
The sun sets, how will i remember this day?
The sun has gone, i have nothing left from the day to keep me warm.
What have i been doing with the day i was given?
The time went by so swiftly.
What purpose was served by the dream i was pursuing?
The course of nature has shortened considerably.
Where has everyone gone?
Were they not by my side a moment ago?
Why am i still standing here, none can even tell the sun had once shone.
Why am i even writing this poem, for the sun has left not a single shadow?
Why do i continue despite it all?
Because I'm a fighter beyond disapproval.

I cant find her, where is she?
I'm searching but i cant find the one for me.
I cant find her, where could she be?
Am i blind, is it i who cannot see?
Somebody help me find my heart a home,
Could someone please rescue me from this boredom,
Can somebody please advise my mind in order to satisfy my soul,
Please someone show me a woman that can make me whole.

Anguish and anger roar like thunder within me.
