RAIN

The scorching suns rays on a steaming summers day
The tar, a glistering mirage on the blistering roadway
Extreme temperatures of the highest degree
Evaporating water droplets are all one can 'see'.

Mammoth cumulus shadows loom above
Hastening the day into semi night.
Covering existence in a dark glove.
Heavens guardians retreat from peaceful flight.

A great thunder, a frequent flashing feat
A shower of cooling calming droplets
Resolving haughty hearts, hate and hot heat
Quenching the sweltering landscapes thirst.

Cool pools now lay where the sun had once shone,
It is now safe to say that life goes on.
