TIME

Creation was the dawning of mankind's existence
Yet time the old thief, has stolen it to dusk
Time was up before it even began,
Which explains our evident time span
The evident reality of us being born only to die
Because of time that taunts the taste of death.

Second by minute, hour by day, day by night
Time ticks waiting for no man, morning light after morning light.
Yet we cannot fight it as it makes our world go round
The gap between cradle and grave is brought closer by its silent sound
We wake up at the beginning of the year ready to face the new day
Its not long before time makes us realize, this time today could be another day in May

As a young youth admires her face in the mirror
Time makes her realise that 50 years from now she'll look like a horror
Call it what you may
Time is here to stay

Time is a healer of wars and disputes
Giving us chance to show attributes
To those who hurt us,
Including time itself.
